Your New Role…
This role assists the VP of Marketing with various administrative duties while also working closely with the Director of Publicity and Partnerships on grassroots, regional and national promotion, and publicity campaigns for all theatrical releases.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Event Management
Responsible for small budget activations from ideation to execution including supervision of event support staff and facilitating communication with all necessary parties
Assist in the organization of special events as required, including Toronto International Film Festival and other staff and media events
Working with WB Facilities and WB distribution, this role is responsible to book and run all departmental & press screenings held in the WB office
Publicity and Promotions
Collect, prepare, and submit daily film and corporate press clippings to department and studio
Coordinate publicity review packages and junket tracking reports
Maintain digital publicity asset database for Canadian media
Update and maintain promotional and media contacts’ lists/database
Support on all grassroots, regional and national promotions, including radio, TV, print, online, influencer and brand ambassador activities
Collect, prepare & submit National promotion overview & assets for studio and film maker signoff
Support for Canadian PA Tours and Press Days
Track Adstream for marketing assets and distribute promotional materials, press mailers and screening passes to press, promotional partners and agencies
Secure promotional screening passes from exhibitors and monitor redemptions
Maintain and circulate screening ticket allocation reports
Administration
Review, verify, and code invoices in the SAP/SRM system for marketing vendors, and prepare, maintain, and track blanket purchase orders for these vendors.
Capture and distribute detailed notes during team/Agency meetings to all respective parties.
Assist VP Marketing with administrative duties as required and perform other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience…
Undergraduate university degree or diploma in the arts, public relations, communications, or marketing
Three years of related work experience in entertainment, broadcast, or public relations fields
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
Understanding of key social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok and Snap)
Enthusiasm, creativity, strong organizational skills, and detail oriented
Ability to multi-task, highly organized with excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive and competitive business environment
Strong computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Google doc, PowerPoint, Photoshop
Working Conditions
Due to the nature of the publicity events (after hours, long days, attention to detail), overtime hours during those events are a common occurrence.
