Multimedia Producer & Morning Show Content Contributor
*This is a Full-time in-office position working closely and collaboratively with a Team*
Are you ready to help shape the sound of mornings in New Jersey? New Jersey 101.5 (WKXW-FM), owned and operated by Townsquare Media, is looking for a full-time Multimedia Producer and Content Contributor for our Morning Show (5:00 AM to Noon, Monday through Friday). This is your chance to work behind the scenes of New Jersey's top-rated radio station and website, supporting a dynamic and engaging team.
This in-office role, based in Trenton, New Jersey, is perfect for someone with strong digital skills, creativity, a proactive attitude, and the energy and work ethic needed to thrive in morning show production.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the hosts to generate engaging content for on-air and digital platforms.
- Screen callers for on-air segments, selecting the most compelling calls to enhance the show.
- Coordinate guest appearances, remote broadcasts, and special events tailored for the morning audience.
- Manage listener interactions from platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and our app, incorporating their voices into the show.
- Act as a liaison between news, digital, promotions, and programming teams to ensure seamless communication.
- Create compelling WordPress posts with images, videos, and embedded content that align with the morning show's themes.
- Use social and search data to inspire fresh programming ideas for on-air and digital audiences.
- Highlight the best moments from the morning show across all platforms, ensuring they reach the widest audience.
- Potential for on-air contributions, adding to the dynamic chemistry of the morning team.
- Digital contributing, including creating web-exclusive content and social media campaigns.
Qualifications
- History of original written digital content
- Knowledge of basic FCC rules and regulations.
- Goal-oriented with a strong work ethic, especially in the early morning hours.
- Knowledge of news, current events, and pop culture relevant to a New Jersey audience.
- Proven ability to ideate and execute daily topics and posts for a morning show format.
- Proficiency with tools like WordPress, Adobe, and Canva.
- Eagerness to learn and grow through coaching and mentorship.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree or partial college degree recommended.
- Previous media experience is a must.
