JOB DESCRIPTION

We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director of Strategy and Operations!!! The Executive Director of Strategy and Operations will drive quantitative strategy implementation to support the Studio, Distribution, and Network pillars of Fox Entertainment. The Executive Director of Strategy and Operations will Report directly to the SVP of Strategy and Operations, this role is crucial for aligning business objectives with operational execution.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Analysis & Insights:
    • Collect and validate data on market trends and internal performance to provide actionable insights that drive business performance and operational efficiency
    • Research industry trends and competitor activities to identify market opportunities and inform strategy
    • Perform competitor analysis to uncover gaps and areas for growth
    • Conduct financial analyses, including valuations and assessments of merger consequences to guide strategic decisions
    • From exposure to business leaders and teams, develop clear, quantitative reports and presentations to inform decision-making
  • Collaboration & Partnership:
    • Work closely with the SVP of Strategy and Operations and Change Managers to align strategies with people-focused goals
    • Foster relationships across shared services, including HR, IT, Research, BALA and Marketing, to optimize support for business pillars
  • Resource Management:
    • Assess employee capacity and skills to ensure the right personnel are aligned with strategic initiatives
    • Use data to prioritize resources effectively across departments
  • Communication & Reporting:
    • Present data-driven insights to executive leadership to inform strategy and initiatives
    • Customize communication/presentations for various teams to ensure relevance and engagement
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners to foster collaboration
  • Growth Mindset:
    • Implement highlight of successes using data to boost organizational focus and productivity
    • Implement post-mortem mechanisms to continuously improve operations and support

ABOUT YOU

  • Ability to align operational strategies with the overarching goals of the Studio, Distribution, and Network pillars
  • Interpret and reflect in quantitative and/or actionable communications and presentations
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness within shared services to enhance overall business performance
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on building effective teams and partnerships
  • Persistent and resilient, with a proactive approach to problem-solving

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 8+ years professional experience
  • Experience working in consulting or investment banking
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis and/or market research
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and investment banking principles
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be responsive to urgent requests.
  • Proven track record in a business development or consulting role, ideally within the entertainment industry

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $140,000.00-180,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
