Your broad-spectrum Unreal knowledge and programming skills set you apart, along with your ability to collaborate with a variety of disciplines to create fantastic gameplay for players.
You will be joining a motivated team who work in a collaborative environment. You will be interacting on a daily basis with designers, artists, and other engineers to optimize gameplay features and game performance, provide fixes for reported issues as they occur, design and build new gameplay features, and create compelling experiences for players.

Turn Me Up Games is looking for an Unreal Engineer to join us!
What We Need:
Turn Me Up is looking for a dedicated and innovative Engineer specializing in Unreal Engine. This engineer will work within Turn Me Up’s Engineering team to identify optimization improvements, research and implement solutions to platform-specific bugs and issues across multiple platforms, as well as implement new game systems and mechanics.
Due to the multi-disciplinary requirements of this position, broad Unreal Engine knowledge and creative technical problem solving are key.
What You’ll Do:
- Use Unreal Insights and LLM Tracker to identify key optimization needs and provide recommendations to the Engineering Team Lead
- Factor in player experience and developer needs when formulating optimization recommendations
- Test games across platforms to validate fixes and identify issues
- Collaborate with designers to develop and maintain gameplay systems
- Assist with creation and refinement of Editor Utilities and debug widgets for use by the creative team during development
- Assist with rapid prototyping of gameplay features/mechanics
- Implement content from creative departments into Unreal Engine
- Assist with architecture and technology decisions, contribute innovative engineering solutions
- Maintain timely and efficient workflow as necessary
- Test and fix bugs
What Would Make a Strong Candidate:
- Unreal specialist
- High degree of familiarity of Unreal C++ and Blueprint visual scripting
- Experience using Unreal’s suite of performance analysis tools (Insights, LLM Tracker, etc)
- Rapid prototyping experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to contribute innovative ideas and solutions
- Passion for exploring all disciplines of game development as they relate to Engineering
Application Requirements:
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant skills and past work
- 4+ years Unreal Engine experience

Compensation and Benefits - The ranges listed below are what Turn Me Up in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, Turn Me Up will advise on an applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
Base Salary Ranges
- California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento)
- $80,000 - $100,000 USD
In the US for full-time employees, we offer a package of benefits including Open PTO, 401K match, monthly Wellness Fund, QSEHRA medical reimbursement, and an end of year two week Studio Holiday break.
