Job Description

About the Role:

IMAX is built on a deep love and passionate fandom for movies. The Social Producer will bring this to life across IMAX’s digital channels. Our mission is to help the biggest director’s deliver their ultimate cinematic vision and audiences the ultimate cinematic experience. The Social Producer will be an important partner in keeping IMAX’s social presence fresh, engaging and fun. You must live and breathe social content, whether that’s the latest TikTok trend or love for an emerging platform.

Please note that this is a 6-month contract position starting in 2025.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll develop, execute and edit new, highly engaging, differentiated and effective digital content – and content franchises – for IMAX owned and partner channels across relevant platforms
  • Social content strategy input and optimization
  • Presenting to internal/external stakeholders, including executives, where applicable
  • Staying up to date on the latest trends, best practices, industry news, social platforms and relevant influencers/talent at all times
  • Ability to write promo concepts/scripts
  • Ability to capture content when needed
  • Ability to edit footage and turn content around for distribution/reviews quickly.
  • Cross divisional collaboration with IMAX departments including but not limited to: digital, brand, sales and film marketing teams

What You’ll Need

  • You love IMAX and want to help build their social presence
  • You love – and live on – social media. Your phone is your lifeline and you’re hardwired into pop culture and you love to consume – and create – fan first social content
  • You’re a fan who is obsessed with movies and the fan conversations around them, going down digital rabbit holes of fan forums, easter eggs and speculation
  • You’re both an ideas person and a hands-on maker, equally excited about a fresh cap-cut as you are for a big idea
  • 4+ years of digital/creative/advertising/marketing agency, and/or film studio experience strongly preferred
  • Strong background and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop), Microsoft Office, Mac and Windows platforms.
  • Strong understanding and experience across all key social platforms
  • Excellent time management (sets delivery expectations accordingly), organizational and creative problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate concepts and technical specs to business partners, partner agencies and team members within IMAX Creative.
  • Not afraid to jump in front of the camera if needed to do so for content purposes

Compensation

27.08 - 38.46
