Director, Promo Strategy

Job Description:

Dave & Buster’s is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Promo Strategy to join our dynamic Marketing organization. As the Director of Promo Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic promotional marketing initiatives that enhance customer engagement, increase brand visibility, and drive business growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify target audiences, develop compelling campaigns, and leverage data analytics to optimize the effectiveness of promotional activities. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in delivering successful promotional campaigns, demonstrate strong strategic thinking, and should have excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute promotional marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall business goals, increasing brand awareness and driving customer engagement
• Create initial financial models to quickly determine promotional feasibility with ability to understand key drivers that will impact overall company performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key target audiences and create compelling, data-driven campaigns that resonate with our customers
• Conduct in-depth market research to stay updated on industry trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive landscape, using insights to inform promotional strategies
• Track, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of promotional activities using advanced analytics tools. Make data-driven adjustments to optimize campaign performance and maximize ROI
• Manage and allocate budgets for promotional campaigns, ensuring cost-effective strategies are implemented
• Lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to drive performance and professional growth
• Collaborate with external vendors and agencies to develop and execute promotional materials, ensuring they align with the brand's guidelines and objectives
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, partners, and vendors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful promotional marketing strategies
• Possess deep understanding of customer behavior trends within the industry, with the ability to craft promotional offerings that effectively align with customer desires and business objectives
• Strong strategic thinking abilities, with a demonstrated ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Proficient in using marketing analytics tools and platforms to analyze data, track campaign performance, and make informed decisions that drive business growth.
• Excellent leadership skills, with experience in managing and motivating teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
• Proficient in marketing analytics tools and platforms
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
