Job Summary:

About the Role & Team

This individual will support the West Coast DX Business Operations team, overseeing accounting requirements, reporting of financial transactions, and key project work of site-based Currency Operations, Ticket Fulfillment, and Asset Management, by providing analytical and process support to the departments. They will also support the DX Asset Management Upcycle programs for Disneyland and Walt Disney World for both internal and external clients. They will have oversight of tracking, auditing, and final disposition of company assets in accordance with company policies, accounting practices, tax laws, and support of zero-waste initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and present detailed department metrics and variance analysis to leadership

  • Oversee Resort cash safe access audits

  • Manage upcycle projects including planning, forecasting and actual usage for related materials. Engagement with internal and external clients for all related upcycle requirements (design, legal, product integrity, contracts, manufacturing, and other tasks as assigned).

  • Uses acquired knowledge and understanding of Asset Management functions, processes, and policies to provide support to Operations, Walt Disney Imagineering, Facilities, and other project partners and complete assigned work

  • Provide accounting guidance priorities and resolving issues

  • Assist with Asset Management efforts when possible – Project walks, Heritage Program, Liquidation channels, IP security, audits

  • Demonstrates expanded knowledge of Asset Management processes and controls, providing context and perspective to assist with decision making.

  • Maintain confidentiality on Company-wide initiatives and department policies and procedures

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 2 or more years of experience with Finance / Accounting

  • Detail focused while able to understand the big picture

  • Desire to improve and receive feedback while maintaining a positive outlook

  • Self-motivated and proactive

  • Strong understanding of spreadsheets and databases

  • Proven ability to quickly learn different types of software and systems

  • Solid understanding of internal controls

  • Flexible/adaptable when priorities are constantly changing

  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform job responsibilities accurately while working in a fast-paced and vibrant environment

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Proven strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills to all levels of the organization, including executives

  • Solves complex problems, improves processes, and works independently with minimal guidance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field

The hiring range for this position in California is $103,400 to $126,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
