We are seeking a Sales and Pricing Analyst to join our Yield Management Team. In this dynamic role, you will utilize your communication skills and revenue management expertise to drive growth and profitability within the Sinclair Sales Organization. This is a hybrid position that can be based in our Corporate Headquarters in Hunt Valley, MD, or one of our Sinclair Markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confidently lead phone calls and engage with stakeholders to analyze inventory across all revenue streams, advising on pricing strategies
  • Prepare for and facilitate market calls, overseeing markets while managing all follow-up actions.
  • Serve as a corporate liaison to Sales leaders, addressing pricing, inventory reporting, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Collaborate with Sinclair television stations to optimize political advertising revenue using internal data.
  • Partner with internal departments and external vendors to assist in developing pricing optimization software.
  • Evaluate the Sinclair Network business and provide strategic pricing recommendations based on internal datasets.
  • Research and communicate ad inventory forecasting, rate card pricing, and packaging strategies with Sales Management across Digital, Internet, Mobile, and OTT platforms.
  • Analyze TV program popularity and trends to determine inventory levels.
  • Work collaboratively with Sinclair
  • 's Engineering, Legal, News, Operations, and Sales departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills: You must be a confident leader on calls and an active listener.
  • Attention to detail: You'll need to handle data meticulously and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel: Essential for data analysis and reporting.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Communications, or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. A finance background is a plus.
  • Experience with data reporting systems (e.g., IBM Cognos, CRM): is a plus, but not required.
  • Sales experience is a bonus but not mandatory.
