Senior Videographer & Video Editor

Position Overview
JayWest Films is seeking a Senior Videographer & Video Editor to lead and execute high-quality video content across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in video production, editing, and storytelling, particularly in the music and entertainment industry. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for visual aesthetics, a passion for music, and the ability to manage projects from concept to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Editing:
- Capture and edit high-quality video content, including music videos, promotional content, and behind-the-scenes footage.
- Apply advanced editing techniques, including color grading, motion graphics, visual effects, and audio syncing, to produce polished, engaging content.
Creative Direction:
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop innovative video concepts that align with JayWest Films’ artistic vision and brand.
- Storyboard, script, and execute video projects with a strong focus on storytelling and audience engagement.
Project & Asset Management:
- Oversee video production timelines and ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Organize and maintain a structured video asset library, including footage, graphics, and sound elements.
Collaboration & Content Strategy:
- Work closely with artists, producers, and marketing teams to create content that enhances brand presence and audience engagement.
- Adapt content for various platforms, including social media, YouTube, and streaming services, while optimizing for best performance.
Quality Control:
- Review final videos for consistency, accuracy, and overall production value before release.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and meets professional industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- 3+ years of professional experience in videography and video editing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects.
- Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, and cinematography techniques.
- Excellent storytelling, pacing, and visual composition skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in the music industry, particularly in music video production.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphic design tools.
- Understanding of social media trends and video optimization for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience) Hours: Minimum 8 hours per week (Flexible schedule, including evenings & weekends as needed)
