Manager, Programmatic Revenue
Hearst Newspapers is looking for a motivated and resourceful Manager, Programmatic Revenue to support our national digital team during an exciting period of transformation and growth for our business. This role will help support crucial partnerships with ad tech partners, agencies, and advertisers as we scale our national deals business. This role will also be an integral stakeholder in helping shape Hearst Newspapers’ long-term strategies around deterministic & contextual signals, video experience, and carbon reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Hearst Newspapers’ national direct & programmatic teams in deal setup, optimization, pacing, reporting, daily management, troubleshooting, and client management
- Collaborate with national direct & programmatic teams on avails and inventory management, RFPs, proposals, and campaign execution
- Assist in deal prospecting, helping national & programmatic sales teams identify new deal targets and upsell opportunities
- Proactively develop and execute optimizations and strategies to grow national direct & programmatic revenue
- Help support and lead programmatic partnerships with ad tech partners, including SSPs, DSPs, agencies, trading desks, among others
- Assist in yield responsibilities, including pricing strategies, inventory management, programmatic A/B proposals & testing, and deals evangelization
- Influence and inform programmatic roadmap, staying on top of programmatic trends to keep Hearst Newspapers at forefront of industry change
Qualifications
- 3-4+ years' experience in digital account management or operations, with at least 2 years in the programmatic space
- Experience working with major programmatic advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, Magnite, Xandr, DV360, The Trade Desk) a big plus
- Understanding of programmatic display, OLV, and CTV auction dynamics & bid requests a big plus
- Proven track record of growing relationships with clients, understanding their objectives, and recommending strategies that meet their needs
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Excel, with ability to manipulate and analyze large revenue datasets

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in New York City. The reasonable estimate is between $95,000 and $105,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in New York City If this role is open to candidates outside of New York City, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
