Job Description
Reporting to the COO of Cinespace Studios, the purpose of this role is to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, expand the client base, and develop innovative revenue streams to support Cinespace’s growth, focusing on proactive business development and client relationship expansion.
Key areas of responsibility:
Client and Industry Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and legacy clients across media and entertainment industries.
- Establish partnerships with line producers, studios, and independent content creators.
- Actively represent Cinespace at local industry events to increase brand visibility and attract new clients to our studios.
Strategic Growth and Revenue Generation
- Develop and implement business development strategies aimed at expanding revenue streams, including ancillary services.
- Collaborate closely with the COO and President to drive Cinespace’s growth in key markets, focusing on Los Angeles and New York-based client investments.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-market partnerships and services.
Marketing and Collaboration
- Work with the marketing team to align business development efforts with Cinespace’s brand strategy.
- Coordinate with marketing for events, promotions, and client presentations to support revenue growth.
Operational Coordination and Service Excellence
- Oversee and manage all client-facing operations related to new business initiatives.
- Ensure productions have an exceptional experience by collaborating with Cinespace management and facilities teams to meet or exceed client expectations.
- Contract additional services and amenities for productions, ensuring comprehensive support from start to finish.
Market Insights and Reporting
- Conduct market research to build intelligence on local LA production trends and studio demand.
- Provide regular reporting on business development progress, opportunities, and revenue impact.
- Support internal stakeholders with insights and recommendations for expanding Cinespace’s service offerings.
Additional Information:
- This role will expand Cinespace’s LA-based operations.
- This role requires the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for client engagements.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability and desire to sell studio space and production services at a high standard
- Ability to think creatively and generate original ideas
- Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities within the production industry
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Confidence and tenacity in pursuing leads and closing deals
- Resilience and the ability to handle rejection
- Business acumen, and the ability to forecast revenue trends accurately

- 10-15 years’ experience in media sales
