Job Description
Meruelo Media is searching for a Sales & Marketing Assistant to support sales management and staff. The Sales Assistant will assist with research, creating digital media plans, management reports and presentations, and sales packages and recaps.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute all sales initiatives and strategies for sales sponsorships and events.
- Manage all production scheduling and calendars.
- Oversee the sales team and support them in meeting their goals and deadlines.
- Provide sales administrative support, generate sales related reports and act as an extension of sales team.
- Direct liaison to traffic manager for all sales elements and manage daily fillers to assure client posting.
- Manage and update all paid programming orders on a weekly basis.
- Enter new orders, cancellations and revisions for the sales team.
- Ability to build strategic media sales plans for sales staff based on RFPs, proposal requests, and research.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations as needed for sales team.
- File, make copies, and answer sales phone calls.
- Update and manage all KWHY/CALI sales media kits.
- Provide assistance to clients as needed (i.e. spot times, invoices, contracts, etc.).
- Capable of analyzing and updating radio/TV sales data and research.
- Actively participate in the stations’ marketing and sales meetings.
- Provide billing and pending reporting as requested.
- Create customized sales rationale and provide research ammunition as needed for Account Executives.
- Manage and create project recaps as assigned by Account Executives.
- Other job-related functions as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
- 1-2 years prior experience in sales support/administrative assistant role preferably in radio/media.
- Management experience is preferred.
- Radio/Broadcast knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Los Angeles market and demographic breakout is a plus.

- Outstanding organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-pace environment.
- Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
- Fluent in Internet, social and mobile media platforms a plus.
- Keen understanding of all of the available on-air and digital sales assets and have the ability to appropriately include these elements in a sales proposal.
