Meruelo Media is searching for a Sales & Marketing Assistant to support sales management and staff. The Sales Assistant will assist with research, creating digital media plans, management reports and presentations, and sales packages and recaps.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute all sales initiatives and strategies for sales sponsorships and events.
Manage all production scheduling and calendars.
Oversee the sales team and support them in meeting their goals and deadlines.
Provide sales administrative support, generate sales related reports and act as an extension of sales team.
Direct liaison to traffic manager for all sales elements and manage daily fillers to assure client posting.
Manage and update all paid programming orders on a weekly basis.
Enter new orders, cancellations and revisions for the sales team.
Ability to build strategic media sales plans for sales staff based on RFPs, proposal requests, and research.
Prepare PowerPoint presentations as needed for sales team.
File, make copies, and answer sales phone calls.
Update and manage all KWHY/CALI sales media kits.
Provide assistance to clients as needed (i.e. spot times, invoices, contracts, etc.).
Capable of analyzing and updating radio/TV sales data and research.
Actively participate in the stations’ marketing and sales meetings.
Provide billing and pending reporting as requested.
Create customized sales rationale and provide research ammunition as needed for Account Executives.
Manage and create project recaps as assigned by Account Executives.
Other job-related functions as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
1-2 years prior experience in sales support/administrative assistant role preferably in radio/media.
Management experience is preferred.
Radio/Broadcast knowledge is a plus.
Familiarity with the Los Angeles market and demographic breakout is a plus.

Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
Fluent in Internet, social and mobile media platforms a plus.
Keen understanding of all of the available on-air and digital sales assets and have the ability to appropriately include these elements in a sales proposal.
