The Role
The Director, Experiential will have direct client relationships and actively support the internal account leads, as well as clients, in the following responsibilities outlined. This role will work cross-functionally with internal/external properties, vendors, clients, and agencies.
The Department
CAA Brand Consulting is a strategy-led, full-service marketing agency with expertise in Cultural and Consumer Insights, Data and Analytics, Talent/Influencer and Property Partnership Advisory, Experiential, Social Impact, Creative Services, and Content and Digital Strategy. Responsibilities

Lead the experiential development process—from consumer journey concepting, pre-production planning through execution—to craft seamless, high-impact consumer journeys that drive brand engagement

Deliver best-in-class, business-driving experiential opportunities, ideas, and activation for brand clients

Ensures the most forward-thinking, breakthrough ideas and activations

Contributes by helping keep our finger on the pulse of the latest developments in the Experiential Marketing space by identifying and implementing the newest cutting-edge technologies

Elevate the brand through, dynamic activations, integrated event marketing programs, and leveraging/optimizing partnership assets

Manage a team of event professionals including coaching, talent development, performance management, and resource allocation

Drive cross-functional collaboration across the organization with peers and senior stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into clear experiential strategies with measurable impact

Successfully deliver event concepts, programming and production that consistently raises the bar, deepens client relationships, and drives growth

Manage event operations including budget development, management & reconciliation, ensuring disciplined spend management

Collaboration with Account Services Team on managing against the overall partnership budget

Leads CAA’s efforts in developing and maintaining relationships with world-class vendors, fabricators & technology partners

Lead contact for multiple clients & oversee quality control ensure premium product is delivered for clients

Oversees, manages and executes all Event Production needs to ensure world-class execution including Experiential agenda/project plan development, vendor management, run-of-show development, risk management, contract negotiation, expense management, food and beverage management, audio visual management, event analysis and measurement

Work with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure consistent & comprehensive communication

Collaborate with Creative and Account Services cross-functional teams to develop strategic experiential concepts, facilitate creative approvals, and ensure execution aligns with business objectives and consumer touchpoints

Lead development of concepts & facilitate creative approval process (i.e. renderings, signage, POS, etc.)

Support the development of junior staff through on the job training

Knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, and environmental considerations across live events and branded activations

Establish effective relationships across agency multi-disciplinary teams

Ensure all Finance & Legal agency protocols are being followed including vendor agreements, accounting and payment processes, recaps, etc.

Utilize agency resources appropriately and efficiently

Demonstrate highest level of critical thinking with focus on proactiveness and attention to detail
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 8-10+ years’ experience in sports & entertainment partnerships/event marketing
-
Experience in the sports and entertainment sponsorship activation space required

Agency experience required
-
Core understanding of how brand partnerships work- from negotiation through execution, management and event production

Strong vendor relationships

Direct client servicing experience and strong relationships building skills

Ability to work independently as well as with internal and external teams

Ability to manage internal and external/vendor staff

Creative and strategic thinker

Strong writing and presentation skills

Proficient in Excel & PowerPoint

Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed (possible nights, weekends, holidays)

Travel Required

Must be able to lift heavy boxes and items up to 30 lbs

Ability to work in office minimum 3 days per week
Location
The Brand Consulting department offers a flexible work schedule and requires three days per week on site at our New York office.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $114,000 - $160,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
