Job Description
The Associate Manager will be responsible for providing support across the account management team while assisting in the development and management of sports partnerships, developing and executing marketing programs across social, digital, content, and experiential, as well as supporting broader strategic initiatives across the business. Responds to client needs and requests and is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service. This position is responsible for developing and managing a variety of current and prospective business relationships, sponsorships, and other partnerships in order to achieve client goals.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the day-to-day management of the account and key partnerships under the supervision of account managers and team members
  • Maintains regular communication with team members and clients regarding roles and responsibilities, timelines, project status and budget updates as appropriate
  • Performs research and analysis of various data, information and statistics across audience, brand, category competition and consumer insights utilizing available tools and platforms to help inform strategies and initiatives
  • Monitors media, trends and changing landscape across sports, music, social media and relevant areas of culture to keep company executives and team members aware and to maintain Wasserman’s position as the most knowledgeable in the industry
  • Works creatively with team members to develop and execute deck creation and report materials
  • Responsible for communication (phone calls, emails, conference calls) with client stakeholders and company programs to support a variety of program initiates
  • Maintains positive relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities
  • Able to take ownership over specific partnership elements, while maintaining full knowledge of partnership in its entirety
  • When applicable, handles event logistics planning, implementation, and execution.
  • Creates various reports to support the client account teams
  • May take on specialized roles or projects to assist the team such as working directly with third party vendors or partner agencies to execute client programs
  • Performs various tasks as needed by internal team members such as research, reports, daily updates, editing of materials, etc.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years professional experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be able to multi-task and self-manage to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, skills that can ultimately weave findings into a cohesive and compelling story
  • Must be flexible and comfortable to assume multiple roles as needed by the team
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Superior interpersonal skills and be able to create a rapport with people of all demographics, backgrounds and beliefs
  • Carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
  • Must have up-to-date knowledge of the music and sports industry
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Ability to think creatively in a team environment
  • React calmly under stressful circumstances and be solution oriented
Base salary range: $50K-65K, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
