Job Summary:

JOIN THE LONDON 2024 3D JEDI ACADEMY

This year, immerse yourself in ILM’s dynamic and creative production environment with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. 

We are seeking 3D-focused Jedi who embody the innovative spirit, creative talent, collaborative mindset, and passion for great filmmaking that defines ILM.

Position Summary:

The London Jedi Academy offers a six-month paid placement to eligible padawans. Jedi who successfully complete the program may be offered a Junior position within the studio. Participants will have the chance to learn from highly skilled masters across various creative 3D disciplines, providing entry-level support to their assigned team. Through training, mentorship, and real shot-work experience in a fast-paced and highly collaborative studio, Jedi will gain valuable industry experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Senior Artists, Supervisors, or Production by handling smaller tasks.

  • Aiding in data migration, asset ingestion, renaming, and publishing.

  • Delivering simple assets/shot work to meet deadlines and quality standards.

  • Collaborating effectively with peers and seeking opportunities for mentorship.

  • Demonstrating logical thinking and problem-solving skills when troubleshooting complex issues.

London Jedi Academy 2024 Eligibility:

  • Applicants must possess proof of the right and eligibility to work in the UK. We cannot provide assistance for relocation, housing, transportation, or work authorization.

  • Eligibility is extended to individuals who have either graduated from relevant courses (including BA's, BSc's, MA's, VFX-related short courses, and programs) or have at least six months of experience as a junior in the VFX/Animation industry.

Successful applicants will be shortlisted for an in-person selection day at the ILM London studio.

This role is Hybrid, which means the employee will be required to work a minimum of 2 days on-site per week at a Company designated location, and occasionally from home.
