Job Summary:

Financial Analyst

This department is responsible for ensuring compliance to policy with regard to cash handling at the point-of-sale  register at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, across all lines of business.  Additional responsibilities of the group include managing special projects and identifying potential fraud.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for performing audits to test compliance of controls and adherence to company policies, across all lines of business including but not limited to: merchandise, food & beverage, rooms, ticketing, and recreation.  Actively partner with area leadership to review findings of compliance audits to correct infractions, discuss control weaknesses, and suggest changes that eliminate fraud opportunities. Maintain a high degree of familiarity with Company policies and procedures in regards to cash handling, cash transportation, and securing of assets.  Perform internal control projects, as assigned. 

  • Perform compliance audits by reviewing requested submittals from
    Operations, review and evaluate documents submitted, partner with
    Operations to obtain proper documentation, document results.
  • Assist Manager of Internal Controls on special projects, overall team strategy
    and continuous improvements/efficiencies of the compliance process and
    report out to executives.
  • Partner with are leadership and LOB partners to review findings and increase
    compliance

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years experience in related field (audit, compliance, process improvement) or Disney Operations experience.
  • Strong audit and compliance skills
  • Strong data analytic skills and competencies with various systems
  • Ability to review large amounts of data
  • Identify non compliance opportunities
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to communicate concise and accurate information
  • Keen eye for detecting fraud
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills, as well as continuous improvement process skills
  • Demonstrate ability to handle confidential information
  • Proven ability to effectively meet deadlines, and address last minute requests in an efficient manner

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Disney policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Parks and Resorts Operations
  • Experience delivering
    presentations
  • Experience in one or more of the following Disney systems: DSP /Matra, Horizon, LILO,
    OLAF, GSS
  • Experience in one or more applications: Smartsheet, Tableau Licenses / Training
    (e.g. professional certifications)
