GRAPHIC DESIGNER - Art Director

ROLE SUMMARY
The Art Director will work directly with the VP of the division this role is for, and help lead a team to deliver innovative and CONCEPT DRIVEN brand creative across all touch-points in digital and print. The focus will be on PRESENTATION DESIGN, but someone whose talents extend further is always a plus.
Our goal is to maintain an expedient, full-service, creative team capable of delivering excellence under tight deadlines. Compelling portfolio and design expertise will be required. Personal initiative and creative drive are critical. This position will be a critical player across the company’s divisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and execute compelling design solutions for entertainment, lifestyle, and consumer goods brands
- Collaborate with the internal teams to concept original ideas for ongoing projects/campaigns
- Be a creative voice – from concept to execution – with creative teams to facilitate the ultimate consumer/client experience of brands, properties, and products
- Lead and manage a team of designers, provide guidance, feedback, and direction to team members.
- Oversee the design process from initial concept to final execution.
- Be a point of contact for clients to reach out to and receive vital project information.
- Manage timelines for projects and ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Monitor the success of past projects and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in creative meetings and come prepared to discuss challenges and possible solutions
- Collaborate with marketing leads and creative teams to maintain alignment with project deadlines
- Manage and assist in delegating daily workloads and tasks
- Work with Creative Strategists to maintain and continuously improve brand guidelines
- Ensure creative assets are ready and delivered to clients featured on core production schedule
- Manage multiple overlapping projects and processes efficiently
- Monitor developments in the creative industries, keeping teams up-to-date on the latest, relevant trends
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience designing in a brand or agency environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related
discipline is preferred
- Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with clients, peers and management
- Experience developing internal and consumer-facing campaigns while working
across mediums is critical
- A keen understanding of layout and visual hierarchy
- An authentic connection to entertainment, lifestyle, and consumer goods brands is ideal, but a proven ability to design for new audiences is essential
- Proficiencies across Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom. Also programs such as G-Suite (Google Slides, Google
Docs, and Google Sheets), Airtable, and Slack.
- Competence in working closely with Directors and executing brand guidelines.
- A diverse portfolio reflecting sophistication in concept development, typography, layout, photo editing, and general artistry
- Experience in print design & production
- An open-minded, optimistic, and outgoing collaborator with the capacity to operate in a dynamic work environment with passion, motivation, and a roll-up-your- sleeves work ethic
- Interest in what is new and innovative with awareness to trend
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
