About this opportunity:
Red Bee Media delivers digital media services, promoting and providing access to broadcast content across all media. Access Services ensures programs on various channels are accessible to Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and visually impaired audiences. Visit www.redbeemedia.com for more info.
What you will do:
- Produce scripts and record audio descriptions for a variety of clients' television outputs
- Audio description is a secondary soundtrack describing onscreen action, locations, and characters, interwoven with dialogue, music, and sound effects. Scripts include timings and text, with timings indicating when descriptions are desirable.
- Reporting Lines and Key Relationships
- Write scripts and record descriptions
- Meet production targets for scripting and voicing
- Understand and meet client requirements with the AD team
- Introduce and encourage collaboration in audio description
- Contribute to editorial policy and standards
- Monitor scripts and recordings for quality and accuracy
- Conduct background research on programs
- Train new recruits and develop team skills
- Continuously improve voicing and scripting skills
- Assist in staff assessments
- Follow Health and Safety guidelines
- Collaborate with colleagues for optimal service delivery
