The Role
We are looking for an eager Accounts Payable Associate to join our growing Travel & Expense team in Los Angeles. The Travel & Expense Associate will support our T&E Manager in processing daily expense reports (out-of-pocket, T&E, & P-Cards). This role involves ensuring T&E compliance in reference to CAA’s T&E policy. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment as well as an independent contributor. This role will require attention to detail and critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate will be solution-focused and have experience with the Concur platform. This role will provide ADHOC reporting as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Expense Report Processing: Audit and process employee travel expense reports as well as procurement card reports using the Concur Travel and Expense platform.
  • On-Site Collaboration: Work closely with employees to ensure timely report submission and compliance with travel & expense policies, while assisting cardholders or their assistants in person with reports that may be out of policy. Three days a week is required, however, ADHOC coverage may be required as needed.
  • Follow-Up: Follow up with employees on past-due expense reports and missing receipts.
  • Employee Education: Assist with educating employees on company travel and expense policies and the efficient use of the Concur system.
  • Support and Inquiry Management: Provide support and respond to inquiries from employees via email, instant message, and phone calls.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and suggest process improvement opportunities to enhance expense report processing efficiencies.
  • Month-End Close Assistance: Support various month-end close activities.
  • Issue Reporting: Report daily issues and resolutions to management.
  • P-Card Validation: Assist the team with P Card validation and follow up with cardholders on missing receipts and unsubmitted reports as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Accounting or Finance Degree is a plus.
  • T&E Experience: Experience with Travel & Expenses is ideal.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to switch focus as needed.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service experience.
  • Experience Level: 2-3 years of experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Concur Travel and Expense system.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility: Adaptable to changing priorities and demands.
  • Proactivity: Initiative to identify and suggest improvements.

Location
This role will be based out of the Los Angeles office.
Compensation
The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $26.00 - $31.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
