Verve Talent & Literary Agency is seeking a detailed-orientated People (HR) and Legal/Business Affairs Assistant.
The ideal candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking and appropriately communicating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support to Head of People and General Counsel/Head of Business Affairs: Manage calendars and coordinate meetings, calls, and appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling and time management. Provide overall administrative support with tasks such as expense submission, preparing meeting agendas, and arranging travel.
- Legal Organization Support: Help organize legal & business affairs paperwork and filing systems; update systems with relevant information
- Maintaining Internal Database- Updating and adding information such as internal memos to our internal People and Legal databases, along with assisting the company with support on the databases.
- Organizing Internal Policies- Updating our internal Sharepoint page with internal memos, events, updates to policies and procedures, and flagging information that’s since become outdated.
- Recruitment Support- Scheduling candidates’ interviews, sorting through applications and resumes, and assisting with new hire paperwork.
- Verve Belonging Support- Help plan and organize our belonging months, DEI initiatives, plan and host events, order food from locally owned businesses, create flyers.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Interest in going into human resources or going to law school preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, legal Human Resources, or Business Affairs role, ideally within a creative or agency environment.
- Excellent communication skills for handling client, executive, and employee interactions, and producing clear written materials.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with discretion while handing confidential and sensitive material
- Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset, with an eagerness to learn, innovate and be adaptable
- Can-do, positive attitude with the ability to problem-solve
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop)
