Jewelry Television - Broadcast Production Graphics Operator

A Graphics Operator in the TV Production Department at JTV works as part of our 24/7 live production environment. This is a role that requires a strong multi-tasker with strong communication & organization skills, a keen ability to react quickly in an ever-changing environment, and a sense of rhythm of the sales presentation. The Graphics Operator must have solid technical skills with operating various Graphics Systems, Cameras and Video Servers, as well as excellent dependability, and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the live show.

Day in the Life:

• Execute live show content in real time as determined by the Producer & Director during the live show to execute based on the plan developed along with the Sales Host during pre-production, adjusting when necessary.

• Complete pre-production tasks for assigned show blocks, and build any necessary show & product descriptions for live show

• Operate multi-cam set-up in the studio – both manual and robotic cams

• Operate Video Server systems for recalling, playing out and organizing content and support materials to support sales.

• Manage Audio for live, dual-host on air presentations, mixing in pre-recorded video and audio clips.

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

Strong fundamental knowledge of graphics operations
Can type 40+ words a minute
Lifting, pulling, or pushing items over 25 lbs.
Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in TV/Film Production with 1-2 years of live television production experience
Experience with robotic cameras and remote camera controllers
Experience with HD Camera operations, including Focus Assist and Detailing
Experience with Video Server systems and basic studio lighting
