Job Summary:

The Digital Asset Coordinator is pivotal in managing, archiving, and distributing digital assets across our production ecosystem. You will collaborate with production departments, vendors, and corporate teams to ensure seamless integration and organisation of digital files, which are critical for various business functions within the greater Studio system.

This position is part of a larger Digital Assets team, and will work closely with other members to provide support and backup for various processes, including Licensing, Marketing, Promotions and Publishing workflows.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Digital Asset System Management: Administer user accounts and permissions within the Core Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.

  • Asset Collection and Insertion: Facilitate the collection of digital assets from internal and external sources, provide guidance and training, and ensure assets are correctly inserted into the Marvel DAM with appropriate metadata and access rights.

  • Secure Data Transfers: Oversee secure data transfers to and from the DAM system, applying necessary watermarking, formats, and codecs, and ensuring successful delivery.

  • Organise Assets: Collaborate with the Technical Operations team to archive and organise content, create and edit asset groups, and maintain accurate asset attributes.

  • User Support: Provide front-line support for DAM system users, including troubleshooting login issues, managing forgotten passwords, and offering training and assistance.


 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer literacy with experience in operating systems and browsers. Familiarity with video codecs, audio formats, aspect ratios, and various digital media formats (TIF, PNG, JPEG, CR2, WMV, MOV, MP4).

  • Media Experience: Hands-on experience with digital media, including transcoding video and manipulating media in programs like Photoshop and Final Cut. Understanding of advanced media concepts such as streaming and compression techniques.

  • Production Experience: Previous experience working on theatrical productions is advantageous.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Organisational Skills: Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple workflows, and avoid disruptions in workflow.

Some domestic or international travel may be required.
