Our mission, as part of the Revenue Planning & Optimization organization, is to drive optimal, predictable results through innovative yield strategies that lead to sustainable growth and enhanced Customer journeys. We work directly with the major decision-makers at Disney who help shape the Walt Disney World experience!

In this role, you will engage in regular analysis of demand patterns and Guest behavior, empowering decision-making in close collaboration with partners. A strong candidate will consistently challenge the status quo and look for new insights about our Guests and our business, with the technical background to develop new models and independently solve sophisticated analyses.

This is an individual contributor role and will report to the Manager, Park Yield Optimization.

What You Will Do

  • Data Analytics & Visualization: Develop sophisticated SQL queries and robust, compelling Tableau dashboards to uncover stories beneath the surface of our data.
  • Yield Management: Ensure park admissions strategy is both efficient and predictable through a combination of subject-matter expertise and science-driven modeling.
  • Optimization: Proactively identify inefficiencies the team can leverage into incremental opportunities and play a central role in the creation of new processes. You will weigh decision tradeoffs that yield net optimal financial and experiential results.
  • Partnership: Coordinate with partner teams (Planning & Forecasting, Pricing, Industrial Engineering, and Operations – to name a few) to align on strategy and communicate observations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Comfortability working in ambiguity and recalibrating against always-evolving targets
  • Moderate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel experience (all major in-cell formulas, up to macro development)
  • Experience creating sophisticated data visualizations and reporting in Tableau
  • Proven experience querying datasets with SQL

  • Support of park yield strategy in real-time alongside our park operating hours, which includes occasional and rotating remote coverage during weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a professional analytical role
  • Experience with programming languages, such as Python or R
  • Revenue management, pricing, or project management experience
  • Experience automating processes and applying statistical modeling methodologies
  • Knowledge and familiarity of Walt Disney World products and experiences

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g, industrial engineering, business analytics, statistics, mathematics), or comparable proven experience
